Everyone knows that we all need to be healthy and do some exercises to do so. Going to the gym might be a huge step for you however, it is easier than you think. It is even easier if you have a trainer for your training journey as well as it has so much benefit to having a personal trainer (PT).
Here are the reasons why you should have a PT for your training
- Save Cost
- Save Time
- Personalised
- Get Results
- Learn Life Skills
1. Save Cost
It might not make sense to you because personal training sessions are not so cheap. It normally costs $80~$150 for an hour session. However, it is worth it!! If you are inactive every day, then you will have to go to hospital often or/and get sick/illness when you get older which cost a lot for you as well as you might not be able to work as efficiently as you do when younger.
Even if you go to the gym and train yourself however if you do your workout in the wrong ways then you will end up getting injuries or your body or/and joints hold too much stress then have to go to see physio or doctor and spend too much money.
Personal training is an investment for not only your training also your general health.
2. Save Time
Think about how long it took you to be able to do your job. Imagine how long it would take to be able to learn how to do exercises properly. It takes a lot of time and effort to be able to train correctly. You might be able to learn how to do exercises in general but are you sure the techniques and forms are right for you?? Just because someone else does that doesn’t always mean that it’s good for you as well. However, personal trainers (not all of us) spend a lot of time studying to be able to train people in the right ways.
Additionally, there is so much information in the fitness industry. Most of the info you can find on social media, website or even on the book aren’t right or are too old. Social media is very catchy and interesting but you need to recognize if the info is right or not. However, PTs should know how to.
You don’t want to waste your time learning how to do exercise unless you want to become a PT or you just like it.
Let us do the work and save your time. Then you can focus on what you like to do.
3. Personalised
As it’s mentioned above, just because it fits someone doesn’t mean it fits you as well. Personal trainers know or should know what the right ways are for only you such as forms, skills, way of learning, exercise selections, etc…. We analyze your body, goals, jobs, lifestyle, personality, and all the factors affecting your training and choose the best option for individual clients.
None the less for squat, there are so many variations and so many different forms. It is easy to say what a squat form is for general however, everyone has a different body, goals, and all the factors mentioned above so everyone has to be doing a different squat.
Nobody is the same as you. Everybody is different. That is, everybody has to have a different way of training or fitness journey. That’s why it’s called “PERSONAL trainer”.
4. Get Results
With the 3 reasons above, you will get better results in shorter periods of time. The reason why many people are struggling with getting results is because they/you don’t do things properly for your goals. The methods or ways are meant to be different depending on your goals. For example, squat, the form, reps, variations, are totally different for fat loss and strength training.
The most common mistake that I see people do is to do cardio a lot for fat loss. You can sweat a lot if you do cardio but it doesn’t really help you with fat loss because it burns calories during the exercise however it makes your body into “save energy mode” which means that your metabolism gets lower and stop using calories. On the other hand, weights training boosts your metabolism and keeps burning your calories even after finish training.
Those knowledge gives you results faster. Even if you know how to do exercises correctly, you might get plateau someday.
That’s why we do periodization for our training then your body doesn’t get used to the training stimulus and can keep getting results.
5. Learn Life Skills
Personal training is not only for training and diet. Personal training is all about your lifestyle. We care about your jobs, life, stress, habits, sleeping, and pretty much everything in your life. We as trainers are here to make your life better and healthier physically but also mentally as well. For example, you work in an office all day long. Then I as a trainer think about how I can improve your posture for you to be able to work better and more efficiently then you will have less stress at your work desk. We also think about your schedule when we make your training programs. It’s not only about the time schedule but also about your jobs, stress levels, motivation levels and etc.
You will learn how to cope with your stress and live better and easier.
There are the reasons why you should have a pt for your training.
You don’t need a pt if you go to the gym “only” to have fun and like to train yourself. I am a trainer but I also have a trainer for my training.
If you hesitate to have a pt, ask the nearest PT for a “Free Session”!! Most of the PTs offer free sessions for new customers.
